Our mission is to create educational multimedia projects and policy change initiatives that benefit the community in order to create a safe, sustainable and peaceful environment for all by using media, art, advocacy and education to influence, policy, social consciousness and behavior.

The Safe Zone's two main programs are Girl Fest Hawaii and Girl Fest Bay Area, festivals which include film, music, art, spoken word, and dance complemented by a conference involving panels, lectures, and outreach workshops for children and adults that address themes such as body image, identity, empowerment, social progress and methods on how to prevent violence in relationships.
